    Library scraping for funds to get by  Jun 3, 2007
    The Ashland Public Library needs about $38,000 more for the next fiscal year to retain its state certification, according to library director Paula Bonetti. Only certified libraries are eligible to receive state grants and to offer patrons interlibrary loan privileges. (Boston Globe -- Local)

    For those of you ambitious enough to work off all of the food you ll be eating later in the day, come to the Ashland Public Library on the morning of July 4 for the two and six mile runs. The six mile run will begin on the corner of Gresham and East Main Street at 7:45 a.m., with the two mile run starting five minutes later from the same location. (Ashland Daily Tidings, OR)

    Fan letter sparks friendship between Ashland native and Poet Laureate  Feb 10, 2006
    He was invited by the Ashland Arts Council, Ashland Public Library Board of Trustees and Ashland Library Foundation to speak at the Ashland-Greenwood gym on Sunday afternoon. Greene, her mother, Helen, and several other family members were there to hear Kooser read poetry, talk of his life and hear poetry written by local students who won a poetry contest put on by the event's sponsors.     Young poets to share stage with Ted Kooser  Jan 20, 2006
    He won a Pulitzer Prize for his 2004 poetry collections published in "Delights and Shadows." Tickets for the event are available at the Ashland Public Library or Farmers ants Bank, both in Ashland, or from any Library Foundation member.
