    Ford Curator Gloria Swift said original parts of the presidential box include a small wooden chair where Mary Lincoln might have sat; the sofa seating Major Henry Rathbone, the Lincolns' guest whom the assassin John Wilkes Booth stabbed and the painting of George Washington that hangs over the stage on the exterior of the box. The carpet and wallpaper have been recreated exactly as they were, Swift said. (South County Chronicle, VA)
