After paramedics administered Narcan, a narcotic antagonist, the man was revived and was transported to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. The man left Melrose-Wakefield Hospital sometime the next day, though details of his departure/discharge are unclear, according to police. (Melrose Free Press, MA)

Demerol overdoses are easily reversed with Narcan which must have been available at the home. There is no way that the doctor would have given him a large dose of Demerol without knowing that he could easily reverse it. (CBS News)
