Dr Philip Batman, the pathologist who carried out a post mortem examination on Dr Hubley, said: "In my view Dr Hubley died of hypovolaemic (loss of blood) shock due to haemorrhaging due to iatrogenic (hospital induced) injury to the portal vein.".
