As it turns out, one of the better competitions of preseason camp might be at backup tailback. Coach Mark Richt was asked after practice Tuesday what the competition was looking like at No. 3 tailback ... But Georgia has continued to recruit at the position and two of its signees from last year, Richard Samuel and Dontavius Jackson, were early enrollees and went through spring practice. Rocky markets push FTSE100 pensions into deficit Aug 6, 2008
Last year, companies still had a pension surplus of 12 billion pounds, the report by pensions consultant Lane Clark ck (LCP) said, comparing all companies in the FTSE100 index as of mid-July. "With a possible recession looming and a threat of further regulatory intervention, the outlook for continuing defined benefit provision seems rather bleak," Bob Scott, a partner at the group said in a statement.
