    Hines Bridge remains closed  Nov 21, 2008
    Drivers who have been using the Whittier and Route 1 bridges to get back and forth across the Merrimack River have been running into pockets of heavy traffic along the alternate routes, but the timers at traffic lights in intersections in Salisbury have been tweaked to ease some of those tie up. Meanwhile, Hurtubise said this week that the accident, which occurred Thursday, Nov. 13, just before noon, will have no effect on the agency s plan to shut the bridge down for a complete overhaul next...     Man arrested after pursuit  Nov 6, 2007
    Forty-one year old Alan Garceau of Manchester was arrested near the Merrimack River on Monday and charged with criminal threatening, being a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest. Police say Garceau threatened the agents at about 4:50 p.m. at a Shell Station on Eddy Road near Exit 6 on Route 293. (Concord Monitor)
