Two-thirds of FLORIDA TODAYs front page taken up with an article about former astronaut Lisa Nowak, who in my opinion, as the wife of a retired military man, is an embarrassment to the military and her fellow astronauts. More interesting and patriotic articles could have been on the front page about why we were observing a national holiday. (Florida Today)

An attorney for Lisa Nowak filed a motion Wednesday seeking to exclude from trial all the evidence found in the former astronaut's car and in a duffel bag she had at the time she allegedly attacked a romantic rival. Donald Lykkebak said all that evidence, including a BB pistol, 4-inch hunting knife, rubber mallet, surgical tubing, and maps to the rival's home, were not used in the alleged pepper-spray assault on Colleen Shipman and are not relevant to the case.
