    House plants for cleaner air?  Aug 13, 2008
    I also keep a Norfolk Island Pine (not the most effective in toxin removal, but I like its look) and a pretty pink anthurium. According to the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, NASA research has shown these plants as most effective in removing formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide from the air.     The city is asking the leis be tied and will accept loose plumerias and floral sprays such as ti leaf and anthurium bouquets. Boy Scouts will place a lei on each grave to honor the fallen veterans and service members. (Honolulu Star-Bulletin)
