Under a new policy announced this week, St. Mary's no longer will permit smoking or smokeless tobacco use inside buildings or on the grounds, including streets, sidewalks and parking lots owned by the hospital. "People will have to go all the way out to Baxter Street to smoke," said Sister Patricia Loome, vice president for mission services and co-chairwoman of St. Mary's Tobacco-Free Campus Committee.
