    I had ordered my salad without the candied walnuts which came with it, due to a nut allergy, and when it arrived, the salad was made-to-order, chock full of everything but the nuts.     In a study conducted by the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, where 129 families were randomly selected from FAAN s National Peanut and Tree Nut Allergy Registry, 67 percent of the reactions were caused by peanuts; 24 percent were caused by tree nuts; 9 percent by possibly both peanuts and tree nuts. Reactions mainly occurred in Asian restaurants, ice cream shops and bakery/doughnut shops. (Needham Tab, MA)

    The president of the Greater Boston Celiac/DH Support Group (also known as the Healthy Villi) has celiac disease, her son is diabetic, her son's wife can't eat eggs and one of their children has a nut allergy, and one of Graham's daughters is allergic to shellfish.
