    Within an hour of the plans for Massachusetts participants in this pilot program being sent off, I received the following message on our Health Alert Network: Within the past 48 hours, however, we have been alerted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that adjustments are being made to the amount of vaccine that is expected to be available to states in October and November. Public and school based clinics tentatively scheduled for November should be postponed indefinitely... (Kingston Mariner, MA)

    Peter Mirandi said the state Homeland Health Alert Network constantly issues health bulletins and so far, there hasn t been anything about a flu epidemic. This seems to be an isolated case, but since Peter didn t know the history of the child or the family, he said there is no way he could comment. (Danvers Herald, MA)
