Within an hour of the plans for Massachusetts participants in this pilot program being sent off, I received the following message on our Health Alert Network: Within the past 48 hours, however, we have been alerted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that adjustments are being made to the amount of vaccine that is expected to be available to states in October and November. Peter Mirandi said the state Homeland Health Alert Network constantly issues health bulletins and so far, there hasn t been anything about a flu epidemic.
