On other than economic issues, it is still important to note the huge differences between Democrats and Republicans on energy, environment, labor, civil rights, women's rights, civil liberties, war and peace, taxes reductions for middle class rather than rich, personal medical choice (reproductive choice, medical marijuana, end of life issues, stem cell research, universal health care access) and many others. To say that Democrats are overly convergent with Republicans is extremely myopic. (North County Times)
