    Thurston wins electric car race  May 3, 2005
    According to Mark Bray, who teaches part-time metal studies at Thurston, students built one electric car last year and came third in a race held at the Eugene Celebration. "None of us were sure how the cars would do (at LCC)," Bray said. (Springfield News, OR)
