Scherer gift will help create center to study American culture Nov 16, 2007
A longtime board member and current Vice Chairman of the Chicago Humanities Festival Board, Scherer said the center will partner with other Chicago cultural institutions, such as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Newberry Library, and will sponsor programs of interest to the general public.
