The City Council this month approved the Broadway Theater and Entertainment District Design Guide, a set of standards aimed at preserving architecturally significant buildings while encouraging pedestrian traffic and new commercial uses. Members of the Bringing Back Broadway Board of Trustees formed a nonprofit last year to guide the creation and operation of a Downtown streetcar and have so far secured approximately $10 million of the estimated $100 million needed for the project.
