The proposed label changes would apply to all antidepressants, including Lexapro by Forest Laboratories, Paxil by GlaxoSmithKline, Prozac by Eli Lilly and Zoloft by Pfizer. Ranbaxy Laboratories, India's biggest drugmaker, will fight a challenge by Merck to prevent it from marketing a generic copy of the antibiotic Primaxin I.M. on grounds that the Indian company infringed a patent, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday.
