Except for users writing in C# or Visual Basic, or Web developers who use Active Server Pages (ASP.Net), there really isn't much reason to upgrade. Microsoft has made it clear that it is not trying to improve the general user experience of Visual Studio, but, rather, is more focused on helping Windows Vista proliferate, popularizing its development framework and advancing its general business strategy.
