In Latin America, Che Guevara was killed trying to organize a revolution against the Bolivian military regime in 1967, but no Cuban troops were involved. Cuban support to existing governments opposed to American hegemony, as in Nicaragua, did not constitute stirring up revolutions - although the US arming and financing insurgencies like the contras in Nicaragua and Pinochet s coup of September 11, 1973 certainly did.
