Buquoi received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Music Education degree from LSU, a Master of Arts degree in Administration and Supervision from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the LSU School of Law. Buquoi has been married for nearly 23 years to Evelyn Babin Buquoi and has three children, Joni, Brian and Bridget. (Gonzales Ascension Citizen, LA)
