Sandhill cranes spotted in area Feb 14, 2008
The cranes two adults and one juvenile were first reported by Darren Best, a former student of Steve Ford, professor of biology at Pittsburg State University. Best contacted Ford to report the sighting on a large marsh in southwest Crawford County about two miles northeast, as the crane flies, from McCune. (SunOnline)
