Later, at Siena College, he competed in full powerlifting: the squat, bench press and deadlift. In 2005, Plante participated in the World Bench Press Championships on the U.S. team in Stockholm, Sweden, placing seventh worldwide in a competition governed by the International Powerlifting Federation.
