With homecoming celebrated at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, it seems only fitting that a remnant of the university s history is having a homecoming of its own, more than 70 years later. A second known finial salvaged in 1935 from the burned remains of The Castle on the Hill has been returned to the university by 1941 Northwestern alumna Hellene Fuller Mitchell of Wichita, Kan. Brady graduated from Durant High School in 1989; Southeastern Oklahoma State University; and the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy. Brady was in the Oklahoma National Guard for 20 years, spending 11 years as a CH-47 (Chinook) pilot. (Durant Daily Democrat, OK)
