After a 6-4 win in the opener at Allen County Saturday, the Blue Devils dropped a gut-wrenching 6-5 11-inning nightcap before sweeping North Central College 10-0 and 10-4 in non-conference action at Community America Ballpark on Sunday. The split at Allen left the Blue Devils in seventh place at 16-14 but only 2 _ games out of second with three doubleheaders left on the road including Labette today and Fort Scott Thursday. Former Horlick teacher and swimming coach John Molitor was recently elected to the North Central College Athletic Hall of Fame.
