Businesses under new management or ownership include Henderson-Boone Insurance which is now owned by Mechanics Bank, and the Exxon (across from Hardees) and Shell (formerly Cousins) gas stations which are now owned by Kangaroo Express, a convenience store chain based in Sanford, North Carolina. They are Exxon, Mobil, Shell and all oil companies ... Exxon brazenly posted the largest profit in history for any corporation, ever ... " Scott Thom gave you his version, let me give you mine. While it is true that Exxon-Mobil did post the largest single profit in history, they also paid the highest corporate tax on that profit. It's clear to everybody that BP, Exxon Mobil and Conoco Phillips are not going to get involved, or participate in any way, in the Alaska gas line project unless the state agrees to all of their terms.
