To raise money for the school's five new clubs (broadcasting, tech, yearbook, environment and drama), Traywick Motors will raffle a 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder convertible valued at 11,500. The raffle is set for 11 a.m. Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. Stinson said funds raised will also go to the school's incentive program and to updated technology and software. (Anson Record, NC)

" Orr was the first Republican in modern times elected to the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where he spent eight years. In 1994, he was elected to the North Carolina Supreme Court and was re-elected in 2002. In 2004, he retired from the court to head up the newly-formed North Carolina Institute for Constitutional Law. According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Bartlesville police were alerted around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday that a Dewey officer was in pursuit of a red Toyota MR2 with a Missouri license plate. The report indicated that a Dewey officer had stopped the vehicle in Dewey and that the driver, Letterman, had driven away from the stop heading southbound on Highway 123.
