    The University of Southern Mississippi is the repository for the work of Ezra Jack Keats, who won the prestigious Caldecott Medal in 1963 for his book, The Snowy Day.     During his early years as a graphic designer, Simms Taback worked in the same Manhattan building as children's illustrator Ezra Jack Keats. One day, Keats invited Taback into his studio to see the art for his new book, "The Snowy Day."
