Projections wrote on Jan 18, 2008 10:50 PM:" As I understand it, and please correct me if I'm wrong, Unit 5 "projected" growth 3-5-years ago. They decided they had enough space and closed Eugene Field. Now, based on another projection they have decided their original projections were wrong, the growth is too great, too many households are coming to the area and they need additional schools. City receives trail grants, plans for bid process Jan 15, 2008
The next phase will hopefully include the trail from Eugene Field to St. Gregory's School, LeCerf said. Since the trails will be completed in phased sections over the next few years, the city will be eligible to reapply for the Safe Routes to Schools Grant at a later date, as portions of the trails linking other schools in town are addressed.
