Seven bridges could be affected by the move - the Bay Bridge, the Antioch Bridge, the Benicia-Martinez Bridge, the Dumbarton Bridge, the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, the Carquinez Bridge and the San Mateo Bridge. Only the Golden Gate Bridge would remain free for carpools - though we'd expect, and encourage, the transit authority in charge there to impose a carpoolers' toll as well.
