It was distributed to individuals who were either members of a large, regional CPA society in South Texas, members of the Institute of Management Accountants in the same area, or employers who had recently interviewed students on our campus. This paper dealt with only part of our survey questions, in which we asked respondents to rank the importance of courses that accounting students complete and the skills that accounting graduates should possess upon graduation.
