Missile Defense System to be Produced in Turkey Feb 19, 2006
The Defense Industry Executive Committee convening under the presidency of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan Friday, decided to produce missile defense shields to strengthen the country s defense capacity against ballistic missiles, with extensive domestic contribution in Turkey. Last month, Turkey's defence procurement panel, the Defence Industry Executive Committee, suspended a $93 million payment due to IMI over the delays on the M-60 project.
